Efficiency includes real field losses
Headland turns, overlaps, refills, unloading and obstacles reduce capacity. Use 65 to 80 percent for irregular fields and 80 to 90 percent for simple fields with few stops.
Capacity formula
Width alone does not set the finish time
Theoretical capacity in hectares per hour equals working width in meters multiplied by speed in kilometers per hour, divided by 10. Effective capacity applies the efficiency percentage before field area and passes are divided by it.
The estimate is useful for comparing equipment, contracts and helper schedules. Transport to the field and setup time are not included unless you reduce efficiency or add them to the final result.
